with appearances in Verdi Requiem in Lund, Sweden, Macbeth in Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Holland, then Rigoletto in Chiavari, Italy!

2008 so far has been a great year with

Concerts with Erika Sunnegardh

in Berwaldhallen, Stockholm.

 

 

And - Puccini Messa di Gloria

with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra

Conducted by Giancarlo Andretta

in Dublin’s National Concert Hall.

Scandinavia has featured strongly in Dominic’s 2008 schedule following his 12 performances in Verdi’s Rigoletto in 2007 and 10 performances as Faust with Danish National Opera,

In April and May Dominic adjudicated senior vocal sections at the

60th Dandenong Festival of Music and Art

in Melbourne, Australia - a competition that he won in 1981!

 

He congratulates Jacqueline Porter, Anna-Louise Cole and Laurence Meikle.

Dream of Gerontius in Westminster Abbey,

Ismaele (Nabucco) at Teater Hedeland and

Pollione (Norma) in Denmark,

Alfredo (La traviata) in Metz France.

 

2005 - an enthralling year including  Verdi Requiem for a capacity audience in Canterbury Cathedral in the distinguished presence of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

PLUS exciting repertoire debuts -

Alvaro in Forza del destino in Hagen, Germany (critically acclaimed click here), † “smash hit” recital of Italian Songs in Hagen, as well as revisiting one of the most popular tenor roles

Rodolfo in La Bohéme, and †Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana in Aarhus, Denmark.

 

Two other Puccini Roles in Denmark

Following the success of his debut with the Danish National Opera as Pinkerton in their production of Madama Butterfly - enjoying  thrilling press response, overwhelming public ovation at the conclusion of each performance in Aarhus’ Musikhuset, and crowned by the honour of the attendance of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark. Dominic has returned regularly to Denmark, to appear with the Danish National Opera (in Bohème and Cavalleria Rusticana in 2005, 2006, and he will return in 2007 and 2008) as well as the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen to sing three performances as Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut and Teater Hedeland as Ismaele in Nabucco and for the Danish Bel Canto Society as Pollione in Norma.
