In August 2002 Dominic jumped in at Den Jyske Opera in their Butterfly production at short notice after the tenor who had been booked broke both his legs in a motorcycle incident in Italy. He appeared with Elisabeth Meyer-Topsøe as Madama Butterfly, Morten Frank Larsen as Sharpless, Jan Lund as Goro, Kari Hamnoy as Suzuki
